- “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp” (Psalm 149:3 KJV)
The Praise Dance Ministry is a different way to praise God. Led by a director/choreographer and they perform monthly on the fourth Sunday. They dance to praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and hopefully bring more believers to the kingdom. Even though majority of our members are kids, we welcome all ages to give it a try! We make sure we are all on the same page; working together to allow every member to learn the moves to the best of his/her ability. Praise Dance is expressed through facial expression, body movement, and more. The first mention of dance in the Bible can be found in Exodus 15:20 when Miriam the prophetess, Moses; and Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing after the Hebrew nation had crossed the Red Sea on dry ground! Dancing is seen in the New Testament too, with the return of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15). Finally, praise dance always tells a story, whether of an historical even in our history, or simply to relate our testimony, and our emotional relationship to God

Praise Dance Ministry Anniversary
One thing we can always feel proud of is our Dance Ministry. Over the years the faces have changed, but this element of praise has always remained an uplifting blessing to our congregation. And when we say years, we mean 12 to be exact! Today’s festivities were a celebration of this milestone.
Presentations included: Miracle Temple, Kelly Temple, and Church of New Vision. They wore colorful outfits, as they performed their astounding art to inspirational music. The day also included a solo performance by our dance leader, Mr. Alfred Gallman, who at the youthful age of 67 showed no signs of slowing down.
We commend the hard work and dedication of our youth and its leaders over the years, including Kerrie-Ann Sutherland, past dance advisor, and Mr. Gallman who currently leads the Dance Ministry. May the Lord continue to bless this ministry as it reaches the hearts of our members and others.
