The announcements for today are as follows: 

The 2009 financial statements are now ready. Please see Deacon Joyce Hamilton-Williams for your statement. 

The Sunday School rehearsals for their Black History program continue on the following Saturdays at 12 noon:   2/13 and 2/20.  The Black History program will be presented on Saturday, February 27 here in the church followed with a brunch.  Everyone is invited to attend this enlighten program. 

The pictures from the Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Eastwood Manor on October 23, are now available to order.  You may stop by the information desk to review the pictures and place your order.  Kindly see Sis. Marilyn C. Williams for more information. 

On Thursday, February 18, at 7:30 p.m. we will be the guest of Victory Baptist Church for their Lenten Service.  Their Pastor is the Rev. Dr. Calvin Kenrick and they are located at 999 Union Ave, Bronx, New York. All are invited to attend. 

On Sunday, February 21st the First Lady’s Ministry will celebrate their 14th Anniversary at our 11 a.m. service.  Their guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Eric B. Turner, Associate Minister and Psalmist at St. Luke Baptist Church in Harlem, New York.  The theme for the day will be “Trust In God”. Proverbs 3:5-6.  Everyone is invited to this celebratory service.  Lunch will be served. 

The Co-op City Intergenerational Outreach Center’s Saturday tutoring program for students in grades 2 through 5 is held in the Fellowship Hall. Tutoring is offered in Mathematics and English, as well as 4th grade Science and 5th grade Social Studies. Tutoring for grades 2 and 3 is held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Tutoring for grades 4 and 5 is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.  On-going registration will be held during program hours the first two weeks of each month.  The fee for Co-op City Baptist Church Members is $40 a month and $50 a month for non-members.  Discounts are available for families with more than one child.  Tutors should remember to come out to tutor on their scheduled Saturdays.  Your consistent attendance is important for the students.  Program tutors are needed.   If you wish to sign up to be a tutor, or would like more information, please see Sis. Hattie Lucas or Dr. Faith W. Smalls.   

“Feast Delivers” hosted by the Just For Men Ministry invites everyone to participate.  Make your selection by circling the item(s) on the menu.  Add $5.00 to your total, as a service charge and bring your receipt at pick up time.  The deadline for payment is March 7 and distribution will be at the church on Saturday, March 13 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Please note change in payment deadline and distribution date.  This month the Feast has a Corned Beef Dinner special, with all the trimmings, at a cost of $21.  Checks are accepted, made out to the Co-op City Baptist Church.  Kindly see Bro. The Connection is your newsletter and the Ministry is looking for your input in every issue. We especially would like to hear from the youth. The Building Fund Ministry invites you to join them for their Mother’s Day Dinner Cruise on May 9, 2010.  The Ship will sail from Chelsea Piers.  Ticket price is Adults $125; children, 2-12, $60.  Ticket price also includes transportation to the ship.  A $25 non-refundable deposit is due now.  All tickets must be paid for by Sunday, April 4, 2010.  Kindly stop by the information desk to secure your reservation.  Thank you, Sis. The Building Fund will continue their Steeple Chase fundraiser for 2010.  Save one dollar per day and turn your savings in monthly by placing it in the general offering.  You may see an Usher for your Steeple Chase envelope. 

You are invited to Rev. Dr. Williams’ book release and book signing on Friday, March 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pelham Bay Diner, located at 1920 East Gun Hill Road, Bronx, NY.

There will be an open house meeting on Thursday, February 18 at 7 p.m. in the Dreiser Community Center Room 15 for parents who would like for their children to join the Cubs Scouts. Note your child must be in the 1st to the 5th grade. Please see Deacon Linwood Wilson for further information or call 718.320.3893.  Thank you, Deacon Linwood Wilson. 

On Sunday, March 14 the Deacons and Trustees will have a celebratory service at 3:30 p.m. in room 45.  Their guest speaker will be the Rev. Peter Wilson, Pastor of Mt. Zion Christian Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, NY.  Everyone is invited to celebrate with them.  Following the 11 a.m. service lunch will be served. 

The assessment for the Church’s 39th Anniversary will be $40.  If you wish to pay your assessment early you can ask an Usher for an Assessment Envelope. 

Come fly and cruise with the Scholarship Ministry on their 7-night Greek Isles and Turkey Cruise on July 23, 2010.  They will be sailing on the Royal Caribbean Cruise line’s “Splendor of the Sea”.  A monthly payment of $320 is now due.  Final payment is due April 4, 2010.  Rates include cruise, port charges, taxes, air and gratuities.  A $50 shipboard credit per cabin will be given.  For more information you may contact Sis.
